Meet Bill — Family, Home & Community
Long before politics or public service, I am a husband, Dad and now a very proud grandfather.
Shelley Weepers and I have shared 30 years of marriage, building a life centered on family, home and community. Our family includes my daughter Faith, along with our special blended family of three adult stepchildren, Shawn, Ryan and Heather.
Most recently, family life has taken on an especially joyful new dimension with the arrival of our grandchildren, Abigail and Harrison, joining Bodhi, Dylan and Aiden.
These relationships are more than an important part of my life—they are what keep me grounded and remind me why welcoming, connected communities matter in the first place.
Life Away from Politics
Away from meetings and work, I’m very much a regular guy who enjoys working with my hands.
At our family lake house at Lonsbery Beach, there always seems to be another project waiting. Whether it’s building a deck or shed, laying a brick walkway, repairing something, or simply figuring out how to make something work a little better, I enjoy the process.
I like my tools, the satisfaction of completing a project myself, and helping Shelley with the extraordinary English garden she has created around our home.
It’s a quieter side of me that friends and family know well. I enjoy being outdoors, getting my hands dirty, spending time with family and appreciating the simple pleasures of life along the Lake Erie shoreline.

A Career Built on Experience
That practical, hands-on outlook has followed me throughout a career spanning the public, private, healthcare, municipal, aviation, manufacturing and technology sectors.
My professional experience in Windsor-Essex dates back at least to 1997, when I was working in airport development at Windsor Airport. Earlier in my career, I served as National Advertising Director for Bulova Watch Co., where I developed a strong foundation in major brand marketing.
Over the years, my experience has included economic and tourism development, healthcare leadership, policy and governance, business and project management, and municipal service.
I had the privilege of serving as Ward 3 Councillor from 2010–2014. Since then, I have continued serving my community through local organizations and Town committees, while remaining actively engaged in issues affecting Colchester and Ward 3.
Why Balanced Representation Matters to Me
For me, Balanced Representation is more than a campaign message. It reflects how I have tried to live my own life—balancing family with work, private-sector experience with public service, and community involvement with time at home.
Colchester and Ward 3 are not simply places I represent or talk about. They are home. They are where Shelley and I have built our life, raised our family and created memories that matter to us.
Whether I’m working on a project around the lake house, spending time with my growing family, or advocating for better infrastructure, responsible growth and stronger communication with our community, I bring the same approach:
