Have Your ID Ready to Vote
Option 1: Show one piece of ID. Driver’s Licence or any other Government-Issued Photo ID that shows both
your name and current address.
Option 2: Show two pieces of ID. Both must show your name, and at least one must have your current address. See below for accepted documents.
Option 3: If you do not have ID. You can still vote if your name already appears on the Voters’ List. The Deputy Returning Officer will require you to take an Oath and Declaration (Form 9) before you are able to vote.

Review Essex 2026 Capital & Operating Budget:
Through a Balanced Representation Lens
The Town of Essex 2026 budget should be reviewed with one clear question in mind: are residents receiving the right level of service, at the right cost, with the right priorities for the future?
A municipal budget is not just an accounting document.
It is the Town’s household plan: money coming in, money going out, what gets repaired now, what gets delayed, and what future costs are being pushed onto taxpayers later.
The Town describes its budget as both an operating plan for day-to-day services and a capital plan for projects such as roads, sewers, watermains, bridges, fleet replacement, and major infrastructure.

For Ward 3, the budget should be reviewed through the lens of fiduciary responsibility:
protecting taxpayer dollars, asking whether spending is affordable, checking whether projects are prioritized by need, and ensuring infrastructure planning keeps pace with growth.
Balanced Representation does not mean saying “yes” to every project or “no” to every increase. It means asking whether the Town is spending on the right things, whether residents understand the trade-offs, and whether Ward 3 receives fair attention for flooding, drainage, beach roads, lakeshore development, and core infrastructure.
